The Bothy, Glasgow

I went for a lovely lunch at the Bothy on Ruthven Lane last week and it was tres delicious. We had a 5pm deal which was great value and went mad buying a fab bottle of wine with the meal and washing it all down with a do-it-yourself affogato and an Irish coffee.  The last days of Rome indeed!

I’ll update with some words soon but for now, photos and a wee clip should show you all you need to know about this really classy, utterly winning Glasgow restaurant.

Prawn cocktail – an 80′s classic!
Chicken liver pate, chutney and oatcakes – good starter!
I think you’ll find the pate, oatcake, chutney ratio was nigh perfection
Oh you know me, a cheeky pinotage is the way to mine heart
Salmon, risotto, lemon for squeezing
Vanilla ice cream, redcurrents and a dusting of icing sugar
